Introducing: Cristian Catalan

Cristian is a Business Development Manager for the Commodities Business Unit in South Australia. With a degree in Materials Science, he has leveraged his 20+ years of experience and expertise in both the Mining, Oil and Gas industries, working both in South America and Australia. Creating and executing strategic plans that diversify core offerings, increase market share, and generate sustainable revenue growth.

Soon after graduating from the University of Technology in Sydney, Cristian started working in the Predictive Maintenance industry through oil analysis and later took over the challenge of managing the operations of an Oil/Petroleum testing lab in Chile. He was then assigned the position of Business Development for the Mining industry, bringing his passion for driving continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence and building long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

He joined Bureau Veritas South Australian-based Minerals Laboratory for the Business Development role in 2019 and has played an important part in its growth and customer diversification. With a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions and services to clients in various industries, Cristian contributes to helping Bureau Veritas achieve its vision of shaping a world of trust.
