a message from Reconciliation Australia

Reconciliation Australia commends Bureau Veritas Australia Pty Ltd on the formal endorsement of its inaugural Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan.

Commencing an Innovate RAP is a crucial and rewarding period in an organisation’s reconciliation journey. It is a time to build strong foundations and relationships, ensuring sustainable, thoughtful, and impactful RAP outcomes into the future.

Since 2006, RAPs have provided a framework for organisations to leverage their structures and diverse spheres of influence to support the national reconciliation movement.  This Innovate RAP is both an opportunity and an invitation for Bureau Veritas Australia Pty Ltd to expand its understanding of its core strengths and deepen its relationship with its community, staff, and stakeholders.

We have chosen Reconciliation Week 2023 to officially launch our inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan. Reconciliation is a critical step for our nation and for our company, and we set out on this journey with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a genuine desire to learn and grow. I know I speak on behalf of all our staff when I say that the creation of this RAP is an exciting and significant step. It is a step we do not take lightly, given how fundamental it is to our purpose and our genuine commitment to shaping a world of trust by ensuring responsible progress and having a positive impact on society and communities in which we operate.

  • Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan. Our focus is on building meaningful relationships and playing an active role in fostering widespread change with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Partnering with different Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses, such as Waalitj Foundation and local communities, to attract more applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Working with our procurement team to onboard a range of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses to support greater access to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses.

We embrace culture and diversity because it makes us stronger and more capable. A broad and welcoming approach to culture and diversity is a fundamental way we can deliver better outcomes for our projects and stakeholders.

Supply Nation is Australia’s leader in supplier diversity and custodian of the largest database of verified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses – Indigenous Business Direct.
