Bureau Veritas Australia & New Zealand, in partnership with BHP, have welcomed the BHP Engineering Graduates for a day of discovery around the world of Quality Assurance, Advanced NDT and Welding.
Tony Thomas and the WA mining teams, provided a hands on day of welding and cutting MMAW, GMAW, GTAW Plasma and Gas, as well as an introduction to NDT techniques and some of the emerging and available technologies to support inspection and decision making.
Grads had the opportunity to, weld, Test and use 3D Modelling and Augmented Reality tools as well as drones to gain insight into the tools and techniques they will work alongside in their future careers.
