Senior Wind Energy Engineer
Bureau Veritas Australia & New Zealand

Partha is a technical and skilled Mechanical Engineer specialised in Wind Turbine Technology with over 14 years of experience in the wind industry. This includes capabilities in wind turbine system level design and strength assessment of major components, looking at the manufacturing process and technical document preparation for certification. He is currently a Senior Wind Energy Engineer in the Bureau Veritas Renewable Energy Team. He provides services including business development for wind farm lifecycle projects, business promotion events, technical proposal preparation and sales presentation for Renewables, creation of end-to-end processes (Financial Institutions, Owner-Operators, OEM’s), and project engineering assistance.

Nishad MENDIS
Manager, Energy Transition, 
Bureau Veritas Australia & New Zealand

Nishad Mendis is currently working as the Manager, Energy Transition for Bureau Veritas, Australia. Prior to this, he worked for DNV as a Senior Electrical Engineer, Eltek as the Solution Engineer, Alstom grid as a Design and Commissioning Engineer for HV substations. Nishad completed his PhD from the University of Wollongong (2012), MBA from the Anaheim University USA (2020), and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka (2005). He is currently serving as an Honorary Fellow for School of Electrical Engineering for Deakin University, and an industry advisory board member for Federation University. Also, he is serving as Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversions.
