INTRODUCING: Julie-anna Smith

Julie-Anna is currently the Business Development and Sales Director, looking after Industry Division in Australia. She has 19+ years of experience in leading international engineering, risk and sustainability consulting and advisory teams across energy, renewables, construction, food, retail, banking, pharm and tech sectors. Responsible for the leadership of energy transition and sustainability services across all business divisions. She is focused on understanding customer needs, nurturing key relations and is responsible for the development of new services and growing internal capacity to delivery consistent engineering and sustainability solutions.

She is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and has been chair on technical committees such as Renewables UK working group on ESG, the Institute of Gas & Engineering Managers Technical Committee Standards Approval and since returning to Australia is an active member in the Clean Energy Council, and Smart Energy Council directorates.

Her experience in operations, project engineering, and providing services to customers enables her to understand the big picture to ensure our solutions at Bureau Veritas remain aligned to the emerging challenges our customers face. Whether that be understanding stakeholder interface, potential project risk issues and how to mitigate them with a balanced perspective –she is a true problem solver.
