Any new item of in-service equipment carries a certain amount of risk related to its safety and performance. When clients purchase and install these new items, they need to be aware of how these potential risks may start affecting the business as a whole.
Bureau Veritas offer two main types of Inspection - Shop and Site Inspection Shop Inspection, i.e. inspection of items at the manufacturer before delivery, is the most convenient way to determine whether a product, a service, a process, a piece of equipment , or an installation is in compliance with expressed needs, customer’s expectations, applicable regulations or other specific requirements. Shop Inspection may include design review, review of material certificates, visual inspection, various NDT Inspections, attendance, supervision or performance of mechanical or functional tests.

Are you responsible for the performance of the item you inspect?
Reports and certificates are issued further to an inspection whose duration and scope were limited by the terms and conditions of the contract with the Bureau Veritas principal. This report release note certificate is not an indication that the items are fit for any specific purpose and does not release the manufacturer, supplier and any party from their respective duty, guarantee, obligation and/or indemnity relating to, without limitation, patents, workmanship, materials, performance in operation and or reliability.
What is the difference between Second Party inspection and Third Party inspection?
Second Party is when we work for and under the direction of the customer. Third party inspection is where we work as an independent body. Our reports/ certificates are independent of contractual obligations.
Can you work to lump sum payments?
We are able to work to lump sum payments providing sufficient information is provided.
