New and Improved Amdel Asbestos Laboratory in South Australia
Bureau Veritas is pleased to announce that its Amdel Asbestos Laboratory is now a NATA approved facility. The laboratory has undergone a business excellence overhaul, including a review of process and procedures, in order to optimise our Asbestos Identification Laboratory to the highest standards possible.
With the goal of providing laboratory excellence for our clients, we have achieved the following:

- NATA signatory authority at Wingfield laboratory
- Optimised systems & processes
- X-ray Diffraction (XRD) capability
- Improved reports & proficiency programs
ensuring higher quality results, improved reliability and faster sample analysis.
The asbestos identification procedures are aligned to the Australian Standard AS4964-2004 Method for the Qualitative Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples and are approved by NATA. Our Wingfield asbestos identifiers are now NATA accredited signatories and are capable of handling large volumes of samples and (upon request) accommodate fast turn around times.
Our new stream-lined systems allow our Wingfield laboratory staff to carry out fastidious quality assurance and quality control analysis and implement rigorous safety standards, aided by the Laboratory’s new information management system.
This laboratory is also able to provide X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis to provide increased value for our clients.
In addition to these advancements, our reports and programs have been revised and improved to reflect these changes and ensure proficiency of analysis and service delivery has been implemented.
