In recognition of Bureau Veritas' commitment to World Environment Day, June 5, a drawing competition was launched open to family members of Bureau Veritas Australia, Amdel and Ultra Trace employees in Australia and New Zealand aged 4–12.
We hoped to raise awareness of environmental issues on a wider scale by involving not only Bureau Veritas staff, but their families as well. We were confident that the kids would come up with some very inventive environmental initiatives that we could all learn from and they certainly exceeded our expectations.
We received entries from the 3 nominated age groups from all over Australia and New Zealand. Drawings were reviewed by a panel of judges and assessed on both the quality of the art work and the environmental message being portrayed. A winner and runner up were selected from each age category and were awarded with a Borders gift voucher. We were very impressed with the high standard of drawings we received and applaud the children for the positive messages they illustrated.
