Bureau Veritas were the Diamond Sponsors at the first South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy (SACOME) lunch on Friday 11 February 2011.  

The lunch was a success with several key clients such as BHP Billiton Olympic Dam, Iron Road, Minotaur & Terramin, and important figures in the mining industry in attendance.  The keynote speakers covered issues of importance and major projects in the South Australian resources industry.   Guest Speaker, The Hon Patrick Conlon - Minister for Transport & Infrastructure gave a speech on  the importance of the mining industry to the South Australian economy and the support that the government plans to provide in the future to major projects.

We look forward to the first breakfast briefing of 2011 on Thursday March 17th.

SACOME is the peak industry association for all companies with business interests in the resources industry in South Australia.

SACOME is primarily an advocacy organisation and makes formal and informal representations to government (federal and state) on matters of interest or concern to our members (either from a whole of industry or company perspective). SACOME monitors and where necessary seeks to influence government policy and regulation to ensure that it supports the resources industry.

SACOME convenes meetings, forums, seminars and workshops dedicated to advancing and promoting the interests of members. SACOME also maintains a program of functions designed to keep members informed of industry projects, promote the industry to the wider community, and to provide social and networking opportunities.
