Bureau Veritas Australia attended APPEA 2010 (the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association conference) in Brisbane last month, promoting its ability to offer strategic partnerships.

‘Bureau Veritas offers a full range of service capabilities’ was the key message promoted throughout the three day conference, together with the profiling of our specific risk and oil and gas testing services.

Bureau Veritas General Manager of Sales and Marketing, Paul Fitzmaurice, explained that many companies saw Bureau Veritas as offering Risk or Oil Testing services and didn’t realise the whole portfolio of other services now on offer.

“With numerous company acquisitions in Australia over the past four years, Bureau Veritas has widened its services dramatically to the oil & gas industry,” Paul explained.  “We now need to make our clients aware of the full range of our capabilities across the whole life of oil & gas projects (Liquefied Natrual Gas & Coal Seam Methane) - and can provide them with a whole suite of services and can also strategically partner with them.”

“Our discussions at APPEA were about how we could partner with our clients, making them aware of Bureau Veritas’ full range of capabilities, so that when they were approaching a project they did not have to go out to tender, but can use us to provide other services.”

The conference proved a great success for Bureau Veritas with many new business opportunities in the pipeline.  Not surprisingly, Bureau Veritas is already planning to stage a larger presence at next year’s APPEA 2011 in Perth.
