    Business Challenge
When working on Wind Turbines, scaffolding, elevated work platforms (EWP’s) and cranes are potentially dangerous, time consuming and may have very costly methods for inspection and maintenance. These methods greatly rely on availability of specialised equipment and the condition of the terrain around the wind turbines location. This costly and heavy equipment may need to travel great distances, increasing its carbon footprint and negating any positive effects the Wind Farm was created to offset.

    Solution
Bureau Veritas Rope Access Solutions aim to save cost and time, increase safety and reduce green house gases. We have over 30+ years experience in providing working at-height solutions for NDT inspection, asset integrity services and basic maintenance. Our Rope Access solutions for workingat-heights provide a safer, faster and more efficient alternative than EWP’s, scaffolding or cranes. Using our rope access solutions can assist you in reducing labour needed to undertake works, significantly reduce costs in the hire of plant and minimise operational downtime.

Rope Access techniques have helped realise significant safety improvements throughout the oil & gas, energy, mining, construction and maintenance industries over the past decade.

    Our expert Rope Access technicians can provide;
    • All basic & specialised NDT applications (NATA & AINDT Accredited),
    • Visual inspection (i.e. Boroscope, Video & photographic surveys),
    • Thermograph surveys including the new “lock-in thermograph inspections”
    • Provide safe access for other technical experts,
    • Lifting equipment inspection and certifications,
    • Per warranty inspections | 3rd Party inspections | Oil Analyses | Gear Box Inspections,
    • Confined Space Entry & Standby Rescue services,
    • Design, certify and install Rope Access Systems (i.e. Anchor Points, Fall Protection & more),
    • Maintenance assessments (i.e. bolt inspection, cleaning & paint inspection, loose debris surveys)
All work is in accordance with Australian Standard AS4488, IRATA* Guidelines, IRATA* General Requirements and our own Bureau Veritas procedures. *IRATA = Industrial Rope Access Trade Association

    • The number of personnel involved in exposure to risk is reduced.
    • Activities involved, and the time exposed to risk is reduced.
    • Very Quick to Set-Up and Pack-Up.
    • Impact to existing structures is minimised.
    • The Carbon Foot Print of the Site Is Reduced (It’s Greener).
